I'm thinking of making this a weekly feature. Goodness knows I have enough material.This particular conversation took place last night while we were working on a project together in the dining room. She had just gotten off the phone with my mom.
Ocho: Me & Grandmommy were just talking about our family traits. Did you hear us?
Me: No. What are they?
Ocho: Well, they're not about us. They're about the boys. They all have the same traits.
Me: Like what?
Ocho: You can always find them doing the same thing. Like right now, Daddy is upstairs watching TV. If he's not watching TV then he's usually washing his truck. And NOT washing our car.
Me: That's true. What's up with that?
Ocho: I don't know. And then there's Granddaddy. He's usually watching TV......or drinking coffee. Sometimes he even does both. At the same time.
Me: What about Papa?
Ocho: Well Papa is either watching TV on the big screen. Or he's watching it in his room........(long pause)...........or he's spitting in the sink.
