Heart Walk 2008

Yesterday was the annual Heart Walk and our team, Abigail's Angels, raised over $6200! That was due in large part to our namesake going door to door in her neighborhood and asking for donations. Seriously, who could say no to this face?
If you don't know why we walk you can read about it HERE. And this year we had another reason. Robyn didn't give her usual tearful speech but instead led us all in a tearful prayer for Susannah. And many on our team decided to walk this year on her behalf as well as sweet Abigail.
We had great weather and from what we could all tell, a shorter trek. No one on our team passed out, got injured or lost any of their children so we counted it a great success. The maracas that volunteers were handing out to all the kids at the finish line was a bit of a bummer (and I'm sure made for a long ride home for many) but all in all it was a good day.
